Chalice World, The Primal Elements

In the beginning there was the dark abyss and the shining Aether which were separated by the void.
Ben Ben came out of the abyss and created for himself a form that could swim in the void between them. Over time he grew bored, for the void was nearly empty and thus he created things to lighten his boredom.
First he created the primal elements...

Fire

Fire was his first creation and was drawn from the turbulent energies of the Aether and given physical form by the will of Ben Ben.

Water

Water was the second element and drawn from the Abyss and given physical form

Earth

The Third element was a perfect blend of the first two.

Wood

The fourth element was a blend of  earth and fire.

Metal

The fifth element was a blend of earth and water.

Air

The final primal element was air which was created as a mirror or physical aspect of the void. Where the void separates the Abyss and Aether and helps each keep their own distinctness air separates and can transport the other elements. Air holds the power of communication and travel.
