Chimera

The Chimera are a variety of races created by the trickster god Chimera who created new races by combining existing ones in various ways. These races remain infused with supernatural energy that helps them function, even when the form appears like it shouldn't be capable of doing so. Additionally chimera can learn to actively tap this power to change form from one parent form to another, or even specific traits of a given form. In rare cases a chimera can learn full Morph and change into virtually any form, but especially any chimeric race. A side effect of this energy is that it tends to be disruptive to magic and Magic Resistance is very common among chimera, though not consistent or required.
