GURPS Infinite Worlds

GURPS Infinite Worlds is a core GURPS setting of traveling between alternate worlds. Authored by Kenneth Hite, Steve Jackson, and John M. Ford to showcase the versatility of GURPS. it initially appears in GURPBS Basic: Campaigns and is expanded upon in GURPS Infinite Worlds.

World hopping is done using Conveyers or Projectors. Conveyers are vehicles but can only travel in the same quantum. Projectors are able to send things (including conveyors) to at most two quantum levels difference. Projectors also can only work from certain quantum levels. This actually helps structure plots in the setting by limiting where the players can go and how they get there. Other methods such as magic, psionics, or super powers have their own rules!

It is an interesting meta-setting. The campaign typically centers around Homeline where the players would be part of one various agencies involved in world hopping. The setting includes conflicting world hopping organizations such as the Cabal, Centrum, and Reich-5.

Players could hop from world to world, allowing a lot of variety in adventures or just stick with one of the worlds for a more traditional campaign.

GURPS Supplements

Quantum Parallels

Worlds are separated by distance measured in quanta. the larger the difference in quanta numbers between two worlds the harder it is to reach them from each other. Below is a list of some of the settings outlined in various supplements. Most only get a few pages, some have their own world book and that is listed where it happens. Many alternate versions of these are outlined but I only refer to ones that have a few pages for the GM to work with.
